Sending email to your agent

Email channel is enabled by default for all agents, meaning you can get your agent to work on a task for you by simply emailing them what you need them to do.

To use the email channel, send an email to ai.employees@composeai.io with an opener mentioning the name of the agent you’d like to pick up the task. This can look like:

Hey Lola, get the customer information excel file that Raymond sent yesterday, and add them as leads into the CRM.

Your opener can be anything with the name of the agent you want to work on the task. E.g Hello Lola, Howdy Lola, or simply saying Lola.

While the default email everyone uses to contact their agent is ai.employee@composeai.io, an advanced users can change this using the YAML settings. To change this email to a custom one, you must have access to an IMAP and SMTP email server.
